I’m not a big fan of overly sweet desserts, but every now and then I definitely crave something sweet. That’s why Light on the Sugar has become such a great find for me. They have desserts for every taste - chocolate, fruit, berry flavors, and everything in between. The best part is that their desserts are genuinely not overly sweet. They manage to be rich, flavorful, and satisfying without that overwhelming sugary aftertaste. Just look at the adorable design in the photo! Almost too pretty to eat. My son and I shared this dessert, and as always, it was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful presentation, delicious flavors, and just the right level of sweetness. If you’re someone who loves desserts but doesn’t want them to taste like a cup of sugar, I highly recommend giving Light on the Sugar a try.

Absolutely loved our visit to Light On The Sugar Bakery Café. They have such an incredible selection of desserts, along with great coffee and tea options, so it was hard to choose. We ended up trying the crème brûlée cream puff, strawberry matcha, and lychee tea, and everything was delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, which made each item even more enjoyable. The whole experience felt thoughtful and well-crafted. We’ll definitely be back to try more!

Saw a recommendation for them on my social media feed and had to try them. The culinary expertise and level of detail and care that goes into each piece is some of the best I have seen. The flavors blend perfectly and compliment each other well. The staff member at the location was extremely rude, and gave an irritated and dirty look (as if how dare I be there). I'm not saying be all happy and upbeat; nothing like that. But when you come at me with a fresh attitude like my teen when I am there for service, we have a Big problem. I got my stuff, thanked her and left. I will never go back to this location if she is there again. I'd go another time or to the other location to have someone provide service. Yes, it is that good that I would go back regardless of the ones salty individual.

BEST CAFE EVER! 🍰 CAME BACK FOR ANOTHER CAKE ON THE SAME DAY! I was exploring Jacksonville and came across this cafe because of the name “light on the sugar”. I got their blueberry lemon “bao”, ube cheesecake, and fruit tea. They were all delicious and not too sweet at all especially the ube cheesecake! It was perfect and my bf and I decided to get another one to take back home! The cafe itself is also very cute and cozy. Prices were reasonable!

FIRST THINGS FIRST - Don't come here unless you're serious about putting respect on your tongue. Art at your eyes. Serendipitous oohh-romas. This place here, right here! Yes. I personally suggest cleaning under your fingernails as you're likely to both dig right into the delights and lick your fingers clean. I'm talking about a napkin don't get no love here. No plain Jane anythane. (Spelled like that on purpose). The mango cake was like the fruit in cake form. The pistachio crumb dark chocolate pretty pie of pleasantness was Ooo-oo-weeeee. Take a date here. You'll definitely be helping your relationship go further.
